Being the Informed Center of Your Care IS at the heart of Self-Determination, Empowerment & Meaningful Action

What is your child communicating?

What information is relevant?

Are you talking to the right providers?

Sometimes, we just don't know what we are seeing and how to interpret the signs, cues and behaviors of autistic individuals.  If we don't know what is relevant, what do we relate to services providers?  How do we know which resources to select?   When you think about how much information regarding autistic children is provided through the lens of the parent to make a diagnosis, inform treatment, problem-solve and determine options, what if we're missing half the relevant information? What if, through our stress and confusion, we misread signs of autism for disrespect, poor motivation or lack of feelings?  Many children are unfairly diagnosed as oppositional and defiant for simply showing up as they are or being assertive.  What are they communicating? What processes are underlying what we see on the surface?

It is all too easy to fall into being a passive recipient of services when you feel helpless, are overwhelmed or are perhaps grieving from an anticipated future for your child that you fear is out of reach.

We can help you discover empowerment through learning about your autistic loved ones.  Really seeing them.  Understanding what they are communicating through their own way of relating.

Individualized Focus. Really.

Receiving a diagnosis of autism can generate a lonely feeling on so many levels. For some, they are faced with an endless stream of costly resources, appointments and dead-ends. We are here to help you move beyond this towards hope, courage and confidence.

From the first couple of sessions, we will help you organize around goals that make sense of your situation.  You decide what you need.  Take advantage of a free video consult and clarity session to communicate your concerns and get an idea of how we might help.  If you would like a video consult, simply connect to set one up.

We offer flexibility so that you get what you need.    You can choose a single 90 minute session to target a specific area.  In that session, set one goal and come up with a solution you can implement at your pace at home.  Alternatively, you can meet for a number of 60 minute coaching sessions.  Design your own program and length.  Of course, in your free consult, you can get an idea of what expertise we can offer if you don't know where to start.  You can also meet with other families in small groups or engage in one of our workshops (and opt to remain off camera).   Discuss what works best for you in a free consult or text us for more information.

Below we highlight some of our features so that you can prepare for that free consult.

Three Things You Can Do To Support an Autistic Family Member

Autistic Individuals Are Not Deficits, Behaviors Or Problems

Meira Greenfeld

My advocacy and social justice work as a lawyer drive my passion to help those on the autism spectrum live quality lives to their full potential. My personal and professional experience with ASD inform my passion to help those often judged through a neurotypical lens to develop real-life skills, learn about nuances in communication and improve their present level of functioning.

While awareness of autism is growing and available resources are expanding, there’s often a lack of services to help older children transition to the adult world. For older children and teens, academic demands, puberty and the challenges of increased responsibilities and interpersonal dynamics can be very stressful and isolating. Our coaching focuses on the ability to relate and connect to others as this is sometimes more crucial than academic success to participate fully in adult life.
